Flame in action!

Our church had its first official Shelby Park Outreach this weekend. Marcus Gray "Flame" is an awesome Christian rapper and also a member at our church who put on a concert for free!
Face painting and a cook-out were provided which helped to draw quite a crowd. We were able to introduce ourselves to neighbors and pass out devotional literature. Marcus is leading a Bible study on Tuesday nights this summer that we passed out fliers for too. If you like Christian rap, Flame is my favorite...check him out here!!! Please pray that our rough neighborhood (my neighborhood before getting married) will repent of their sins and turn to Christ.



Andrew was able to have his shift picked up at work so he could attend, which was great! Usually he is always working all day. A lot of our friends from the Clothes Closet came to the park, so we were very excited for them to hear the gospel again.

Though I am no longer a barrista by practice, I able to hangout with the entire JAVA staff as we migrated from JAVA to another local coffee shop: QUILLS! We know good coffee.
Suemi gave me quiet the run for my money during Scrabble by scoring 45 points with the word: QUID. (is that even a word?) It was quite ironic to find ourselves at another coffee shop. Goodbye officially though, to life as a barrista.
